The first thing that you must understand is that things do not usually happen overnight. The process takes time. While it is possible to get your book in print within a month of your submission this would be a rare case and only if your manuscript was already expertly edited and you are also providing your own cover graphics.
The first step in the process is to submit your manuscript for our review. Our workload will dictate how long it will take to review it and let you know if we will be willing to publish your book.
The next step will to be to negotiate a contract for publishing. You can look at our sample contract on this site before submitting your manuscript
If your manuscript requires substantial editing we will work with you to bring your manuscript up to our standards. We will not rewrite your book for you but will coach you through a series of suggestions how to improve your work. This process can take up to several months if the manuscript requires significant work.
Once we have agreed that the copy is ready for publication we will format the text and give it to you in a PDF format for your review.
If you already have graphics that you want to use for the cover we will work with you to use them. If they are not up to our standards you will be required to rework them or we will provide the graphics.
While the graphics and text are being developed we will ask you for back cover book information and catalog text for your book. We will work with you to develop the best text to help sell your book.
When the graphics are completed they will be merged with the cover information and then provided to you in a PDF format for your review.
Upon your approval of the text and cover we will then print a proof copy of your book for your approval.
After your approval we will then release the book for publication. It will be available on Amazon.com within a month. Printed copies will be immediately available from us.
Many book reviewers require pre-publication copies of your book. We can delay your publication date and print copies for your reviewers. Many reviewers do not accept books directly from the author. We can work with you to send books to these reviewers. We do not automatically send copies of your books to reviewers.
